An old-fashioned Parade, Celebration, and hometown Rodeo during White Bird Days on Father’s Day weekend in mid-June is always wildly popular. Other fun, family events range from a Sausage Feed in March, to Art Shows & Sales, Chili Cook-Offs, and more. Community events and festivals occur frequently in White Bird, Idaho and in addition to the annual Festival & Parade in mid June, range from trap shoots, to Easter Egg Hunts, bike rides, a Halloween youth party, the Rebekah Turkey Dinner, and Christmas programs….there’s a lot going on in this small town in north central Idaho.

64th Annual Kooskia Days Celebration , August 4th, 5th, and 6th

All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast ~ Fun Run ~ Parade ~ Kiddie Activities ~ 3 on 3 Basketball ~ Show & Shine ~ Beer Garden ~ Vendor Booths

Dixie Days (106th annual) set for Saturday and Sunday, August 5th and 6th

Head upriver and join the celebration.  Bake sale, fish and chips, hamburgers and hot dogs.  A photo contest.  A horseshoe contest.  Ducky Derby.  Baseball.   Bingo.  Vendor booths.  Street Dance at the Park with the American Bonfire band.  That’s all on Saturday!!!

Sunday starts with the annual breakfast at 9 AM.  Drawing for chain saw and homemade quilt at 11 AM.

25th Raspberry Festival at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, Sunday, August 6th , 9 am to 4 pm

A day for the entire family to enjoy together, this annual event is for the benefit of the Historical Museum.

Elk City Days set for August 11-12 , Friday/Saturday

  • At the school on Friday at 7 PM a presentation honoring veterans
  • Friday at 6 PM, the popular baseball game between the Forest Service and the Town
  • Live music on Saturday evening at the VFW
  • Grand Parade at 11 AM on Saturday, with the theme “Into the Woods”
  • And chicken walk Bingo is back this year!
